Get More Visitors to your Website using Free Traffic Exchanges

Filed under: Traffic Hall — admin @ 2:14 pm

Trying to get traffic to your new website or to your gateway pages for an affiliate program can be difficult if you are just starting out and have little or no advertising budget.

This article will explain how you can use traffic exchanges to get a steady stream of visitors to your website, without having break your budget or spend hours on end clicking away to get credits.

In simple terms, a traffic exchange is a place that you can join and view other members web pages in exchange for having your own web page viewed. Every time you view another member’s web page for a period of time (e.g. 20 seconds) your balance of credits increases. Every time a member views your web page for the same period of time your credit balance decreases.

There are two main types of traffic exchanges – manual exchanges and auto exchanges. A manual exchange requires a real human being to view the web page and click on a link to proceed to the next web page, whereas an auto exchange can be left running in your web browser and will automatically refresh to a new web page.

Although both of these methods will bring hits to your website, the use of a manual exchange is far more likely to bring a visitor who will actually read what is on your web page. The auto exchange user who leaves their computer on all night, surfing web pages while they sleep is unlikely to buy your product! It is for this reason that I have not ventured down the path of using auto exchanges.

So how do you go about choosing which traffic exchange(s) to use? First let’s take a look at the most common features of a traffic exchange, so you can differentiate between the competition.

* Credit Surfing – all traffic exchanges allow you to earn credit in return for viewing other member’s web pages. Also look out for bonus credits. Many exchanges will give you bonus credits for signing up, for surfing a certain number of pages, or for winning competitions or sweepstakes.

* Minimum Time Limit – when surfing for credits, most traffic exchanges require you to view a site for a minimum amount of time before you earn a credit. This is normally somewhere between 10 and 30 seconds.

* Anti Cheat Mechanisms – to ensure that a real person is viewing your web site most traffic exchanges employ anti cheating mechanisms. This usually means that instead of clicking a “Next Site” button you have to click on a specific graphic such as a number, letter, picture or coloured icon from a selection of a few, to proceed to the next site. Repeated failure to do this correctly means suspension or termination of your account.

* Referring Others – this is the fastest way to build up your credits. Most traffic exchanges provide you with referral pages and banners. You can use these to recruit yourself a downline. When someone signs up from your promotional web page or banner they are placed in your downline. This can earn you an immediate bonus plus a percentage of your downline’s credits e.g. 1 credit for every 10 sites surfed.

* Paid/Pro Memberships – most traffic exchanges offer paid memberships as well as free memberships. Normally a paid membership earns you privileges such as an allocation of credits per month plus an increased number of credits for your own surfing and the surfing of your downline. Most exchanges also allow you to purchase extra credits. I don’t recommend going for a paid membership or buying credits until you have tried out the traffic exchange for free first.

A quick search on Google, using the keywords “traffic exchange” will reveal almost 200,000 results, including hundreds of differently themed traffic exchange websites. Within minutes you can sign up for an account, submit your URL and start surfing for credits. Easy? Yes, but how do you know if this traffic exchange will give you results? How do you choose between the hundreds of different traffic exchanges?

I use a report from a company called Traffic Hoopla to decide which traffic exchanges to sign up with. This report is updated weekly with the top 50 traffic exchanges and the top 10 new traffic exchanges. You can find out from this report who delivers the highest unique percentage of visitors and who will deliver traffic to your website in a timely manner. Armed with this information you can sign up for only the best traffic exchanges and get the biggest reward for your efforts.

Once you have signed up for some of the top traffic exchanges, you now need to earn some credits. There are three ways to do this:

(1)Personally surf for credits

(2)Purchase Credits

(3)Build a downline

In the beginning you may want to set aside a few hours each week to personally surf for some credits – in fact some traffic exchanges require you to surf a certain number of sites to activate your account.

However, the best way to be successful with traffic exchanges is to build your own downline. This way you can keep the credits flowing in by letting your downline do all the clicking for you.

You can do this by using the referral web pages of each of the traffic exchanges that you have signed up with or you can sign up with a downline builder such as Traffic Hoopla or Profit Rally and build downlines for all the best traffic exchanges by advertising a single link.

I chose the latter method and after signing up for the top 10 traffic exchanges I had over 60 people signed up under me in the various programs after the first week. I can’t quite put my feet up and stop surfing yet, but every week I can spend less time clicking on traffic exchanges and more time deciding how to use all my credits.

3 Main Ways to get Instant Traffic

Filed under: Traffic Hall — admin @ 12:11 pm

We have seen in our previous topic, how to increase your traffic.
In some circumstances, you may need to increase your traffic immediately or to boost it in order to spread a new product or an offer or or simply to implement your viral marketing.
Well there is 3 easy to do that and we will explain them now.

You can:
Buy targeted traffic to your site,
email to your list,
or make a Joint Venture(JV).

To buy fast and immediate traffic, you will need to go to google or one of the other alternatives like overture from yahoo..
You may need to know how to use google adwords first, there is excellent ebooks on this subject, that will save you a lot of money, and avoid your ad to be deactivated.

That type or advertising is called Pay Per Click advertising. You will set a daily budget for your campaign, and you will only pay when some one make a click on your link
You will be able to see your ad on the right table of the page, when you search for specific keywords.

You will need to track your campaign.
For example, you can buy 3 different advertising sources, pay the same price for each, then track with a software which advertising gives you more results.

Then go on, like that you will save your money.
The second way is to email to your list.
You must understand the sale process. In a nutshell, visitors are surfing they fall on your site, but they probably won’ t come back except if you offer them an incentive, or newsletter, something that will bring them back:

You can send a promotional email, twice a month or once

Send valuable information between the promotional offer.

The last tip for immediate traffic is Joint Venture.
You have to get other websites to send email to their list, place your link on their website, and you will pay them only when they process a sale.
Pay them 50% or more.

And make the sale easy for them, prepare for them the subject and body of the emails, prepare the affiliate link they will put on their websites, and any other material you can use.
And who knows, you will maybe find some good friends out there.

Increase Web Site Traffic with New Marketing Techniques

Filed under: Traffic Hall — admin @ 7:26 am

Do you want to increase web site traffic, but you are in a rut, or you don’t have a big advertising budget? There are ways to market your business to sell more products or services that will not cost you an “arm and a leg.” The key is to find what works for your individual business-because what works well for some will not work well for others. Although pay-per-click services are one of the most common ways that people use to increase website traffic, there are other ways that may be even more effective to not only increase the traffic but make it more productive in sales as well. There are basically two areas to consider: ways to increase web site traffic and the web site design.

Increasing Traffic

–Pay per clickthis has been in practice for many years. Businesses bid for the right to use certain keywords or phrases. The highest bidders are placed at the top of search engines, making them more likely to be “clicked on” and increase web site traffic. The only problem with this is that sometimes you can get “false clicks” from a competitor or “curiosity clicks” from web surfers who have no intention of buying and you are still paying for those clicks. You might want to look at pay per sale services instead.

–Another way to increase web site traffic is to double target potential customers. This is similar to pay per click but the visitors who enter your keyword or keyword phrases are sent first to an informational article page with your ad featured on it. You are only charged when they click on your ad. In this way you increase web site traffic with customers who have expressed specific interest in your product.

–Blogging is something that you may or may not have considered as a way to increase web site traffic. When you use a free blog you can put links to affiliated sites, links to your site and information which will interest potential customers in your products and services like upcoming sales and new product info. You can even get customer feedback on your blog.

Web site design can also increase web site traffic. You should make sure that your site is easy to navigate, uses colors which complement your product rather than detract from it, and has graphics and font styles which are professional if you want to increase web site traffic. Put important information at the top of the page and links should be easy to find. Customers will appreciate as much information as you can give them, but not all bunched on one page. Have a FAQ page or some other format so that they can get all of the information they need without searching on someone else’s site.

Your Traffic Building Checklist: 15 Ways to Get More Visitors Who Are Ready to Buy (Part 1)

Filed under: Traffic Hall — admin @ 6:04 pm

<< Part 1 of 2 >>

When many of my clients first come to me for coaching, they share that one of their biggest challenges is getting enough visitors to their site. Attracting traffic isn’t a cut and dry process there isn’t one perfect way to do it. But there are many ways that, when used collaboratively, will build you a nice stream of visitors.

To get your marketing wheels turning, check out these 15 simple ways to attract new visitors to your site. This is not an exhaustive list by any means, but it will give you several fresh ideas to try.

Now, remember you don’t want to expel effort in getting just anyone to visit your site. You only want people who would likely be interested in what you have to offer. So before you read on, answer this question:

“WHO are your target clients or customers?”

Are they men, women, or both? Do they own a certain type of business or work in a certain profession? Are they young, old, or middle aged? Are they left handed? Do they own pets? Can they juggle?

I hope you see where I’m going here. The more you know about your ideal clients/customers, the better you’ll know where and how to find them .

So … keep that information in mind as you consider these traffic-building tactics:

___ 1. Search Engines and Directories

Why not be in front of people who are actually searching for your product or service? Get your site listed in the top search engines by either learning about this topic on your own or investing in assistance. Because there is A LOT to learn and the rules keep changing all the time, this is an area I advise you get some help in. (I recommend my friend Marc Harty at http://www.SearchEnginePatrol.com.)

___ 2. Pay-per-Click Directories

In pay-per-click deals, you only pay for how many people actually CLICK on your ad to get to your Web site. Services such as Overture (http://www.overture.com/) and Google AdWords (https://adwords.google.com/) let you bid on how much you’d like to pay per click, and many times your listings appear above the regular listings in the major search engines. (To learn more, see my article, “Pay Per Click: What’s It All About ?” at http://www.ezinequeen.com/payclick.htm.)

___ 3. Your Own E-zine

If you publish your own e-zine, you already have a warm pool of prospects who are likely interested in what you have to offer. Give them a reason to visit (or re-visit) your site by adding new content, giving away a free report or e-book, or offering a special subscriber-only promotion on your products and services. (To learn more about publishing your own e-zine, sign up for one of my FREE monthly teleclasses at http://www.ezine-queen.com/teleclass.htm)

___ 4. Your Articles in Other E-zines and at Other Web Sites

This has been one of my most successful traffic-building tactics. There are thousands of online publishers who would like to use YOUR articles in their e-zines and on their Web sites! Find them via the Directory of E-zines (http://www.1automationwiz.com/app/aftrack.asp?AFID=44985) (my favorite) or search for Web sites that accept “free content” submissions. Be sure to add an attention-getting blurb at the end of your article that gives the reader a reason to visit your site ASAP. (To learn how to do this, see my article “Recycle Your Articles and Gain Tons of New Subscribers” at http://www.ezinequeen.com/recycle.htm.)

___ 5. Ads in Other E-zines

Identify other e-zines whose readership matches your target market. Search the Directory of E-zines (http://www.1automationwiz.com/app/aftrack.asp?AFID=44985) and the Web. Find out if the e-zines accept advertising and learn what their rates are. Run at least three ads in a row, preferably five to seven, to get an accurate representation of how the ad pulls. Use an ad-tracking program to determine how many clicks each ad is getting. My shopping cart program has this built in, but if you’re looking for a separate ad tracking service at a low cost, AdMinder is a good one. (http://www.adminder.com/go.cgi?id=akb1)

___ 6. Ads on Other Web Sites

Research other Web sites where your target market visits and inquire about advertising. Have ready both text ads and banner ads of different sizes. (For examples of banner sizes, see some of the banner ads I provide to my E-zine Queen Affiliates at http://www.ezinequeen.com/graphics.htm)

___ 7. Online Forums and Discussion Groups

Where do your prospective clients and customers hang out online? What organizations do they belong to? Identify popular forums and discussion groups that are related to your subject area and where prospects in your target market may be lurking. You’ll find more than you ever knew existed just by doing a few online searches. Don’t be self-promotional in your postings be helpful and answer questions as related to your area of expertise. Let your value shine through and include your Web site address underneath your name.

Why “Content is King” to Search Engines

Filed under: Traffic Hall — admin @ 2:54 pm

Content is King! Have you heard that saying yet? Search engine experts are practically using it as a mantra. What does it mean and why is it true?

In the context of websites and search engines, when experts say that content is king, they mean that building additional pages of text is one of the best things you can do to improve your search engine rankings and number of visitors. Anyone that has attended any of my classes or asked me to work on their internet marketing has heard me include this in my recommendations. In fact, I tell everyone that search engine optimization (SEO) basically comes down to three factors: On-page factors, linking, and content. Most people generally think of the first two when trying to rank better.

So why is content so important?

For starters, search engines don’t rank websites, they rank web pages.

Read that sentence again and think about it for a moment. What it means is that the more pages you make on your site, the more chances you have of any of those pages ranking better. To start with, it’s simply a law of averages. To illustrate, if you want to win a raffle, you might buy more tickets. The more opportunities you have, the higher probability of coming out on top. Of course, this is over-simplifying a little. After all, you can buy a whole lot of lottery tickets (which I don’t recommend) and will still typically lose the lottery.

To increase your chances, each page of content should center around a keyword phrase or two. Use that phrase several times within the text. Use it in the Title tag and in a heading or two. Now repeat that process over and over again. Make a page of content every day if at all possible. If not, make one per week. This is work that will definitely pay off over time.

As a side-benefit, content can also be distributed to other sites and newsletters. Put a nice bio about yourself and a link to your website at the bottom, and you are on your way to gaining traffic and growing links. Another nice side-benefit is that if your content is good, others will link to you. And we all know how important inbound linking is to search engines.

So what exactly is content? What pages of content could you make for your site? We’ll discuss this in a future newsletter.
