Why You Should Eat More Fruit!
I’m writing today about fresh fruit, my precious food. It at the very least, eat more fruit. It is the healthiest “fast food”. It demands no preparation besides washing and perhaps peeling. A good idea is to put one in your purse in the morning and it’s ready any time later in the day. In the mid-afternoon lull at the office, head off the snack food and indulge in a delicious piece of fruit. I’ve found a few reasons why fruit is great for us:
Fruit comprises 0% bad fat and 0% cholesterol.
Fruits contain mostly water, making them a natural and nutritious source of your daily water requirements.
Fruit is the ultimate brain food. Research has determined that fruit actually stimulates memory and stimulates neuro activity in the brain.
Fruit has a lot dietary fiber, which not only combats digestive issues and colon cancer, but also prevents heart disease.
Fresh fruit is a wonderful technique for weight loss.
Fresh fruits accommodate a a wide array of phytonutrients, which supply tremendous health benefits.
Fruits are highly cleansing for the body. Most every detox plan incorporates fresh fruit or fruit juice. Citrus is particularly cleansing. One of the most common detox programs is the lemon detox. I do one several times every year and I highly recommend it.
