ML – CHI – Zadok and the Making of Gold

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 10:50 am

ATOMIC HIGH-SPIN TECHNOLOGY: – In 1950 B.C. there was a priest-king in Salem who understood the ‘highward fire-stone’ according to Gardner in ‘Genesis of the Grail Kings’. His name was Melchizedek, and there is a secret or inner sanctum group of Mormons who follow his lead. The Mason (Joseph Smith was a 33rd Degree Mason, Brigham Young was a Mason too.) who founded this religion followed a path tred frequently in the expansion of esoteric manipulation. It continues to this very day with the OTO offshoots, Scientology and many other cults who believe in some very ‘freaky’ things. Most of the lay people will never get to know the ulterior motives of those who lead such organizations. The whole of the United States is one of their experiments according to many authors who have done excellent research in the matter. We will leave that portion of the issue until the next segment even though it isn’t much of a ‘mystery’. There are many things a reader should consider before jumping (or attempting to) across that chasm.

“As to why the fire-stone was called ‘highward’ by the ancient Mesopotamians, we shall now discover as we enter the realm of high-spin metallurgy. {Solomon was a very adept person in metallurgy and other things of this order known as Rosicrucianism or Christian ‘mystery schools’ of the Masonic ‘octopus’. I use ‘octopus’ as a way of trying not to have to list names and titles that would fill this book.}

THE TRANSMUTATION OF GOLD

Before commencing this section, it must be stressed that because of the potentially dangerous nature of an enterprise which deals with high-spin atoms, the explanations will be purposefully veiled and guarded. The following is, therefore, presented as a general overview, without detailing specific weights, temperatures, conditions or laboratory burn-times. This will prevent any ill-advised experimentation by unqualified enthusiasts and will avoid the contravention of prevailing international patents which govern the practice. {Yes, Modern science is able to do the alchemical ‘Great Work’ as a purely physical thing now.}

To begin, we should consider statements concerning the Philosophers’ Stone made by the alchemists Lapidus and Eirenaeus Philalethes: ‘The Philosophers’ Stone is no stone, but a powder with the power to transmute base metals into gold and silver,’ (25) and,

The stone which is to be the transformer of metals into gold must be sought in the precious metals in which it is enclosed and contained. It is called a stone by virtue of its fixed nature, and it resists the action of fire as successfully as any stone – but its appearance is that of a very fine powder, impalpable to the touch (imperceptible, like talcum powder), fragrant as to smell, in potency a most penetrative spirit, apparently dry, and yet unctuous, and easily capable of tingeing a plate of metal. The stone does not exist in nature, but has to be prepared by art, in obedience to nature’s laws. Thus, you see our stone is made of gold alone, yet it is not common gold. (26)

Each of these testimonies refers to the enigmatic stone being, in actuality, a fine powder, and in talking of the precious metals within which the stone is contained, modern practitioners refer not only to gold and silver but also to those metals which comprise the platinum group. These metals, along with platinum itself, are palladium {Remember this when we get to cold fusion, under the Lithium heading.}, iridium, osmium, rhodium and ruthenium – and because of their ultimate strengths they are used in surgical, optical and dental instruments, crucibles and thermo-couples, machine-bearings, electrical switch contacts and all manner of precision devices down to the tipping of needles and pen-nibs.

The metal that, in jewellery manufacture, is commonly known as ‘white gold’ is an alloy of gold coupled with palladium, which is said to have been first discovered in Brazil, California and the Urals in 1803, and was named after the asteroid Pallas in that year. Iridium, osmium and rhodium are also given the same date of discovery, with ruthenium following in 1843. However, the platinum-group metals were not truly discovered in the nineteenth century, this was at least one of them, namely iridium, was rediscovered, for iridium was originally a key fire-stone of ancient Sumer. Because of its bright silvery colour and the then non-invention of its latter-day name (applied in 1803 by virtue of its iridescence), the mysteriously described shining metal was long presumed from the old records to have been tin.

Iridium is a very rare element on Earth, but geologists have discovered its existence in quantities up to thirty times the norm in crust layers where extraterrestrial meteorites containing the substance have landed in the distant past. (27) Iridium is, therefore, not so uncommon outside our own planet {He later notes that rhodium and iridium make up 5% of the brain’s clarified weight and suggests our alien ancestors needed it to maintain their power or Divine nature. This is one reason for eating live animal pineal glands to enhance psychic ability. If those ‘animals’ have some of their own DNA it is better; so you might know why they harvest fetal material from Scarlet Women now.} The Sumerians and ancient Egypt clearly knew about the properties of gold and of how to alloy it with other noble metals. The Master Craftsmen were adepts too in the workings of iridium, which just like gold, could be taken to the exotic ‘highward’ state of the ’shem-an-na’.

This means that they not only knew and worked with these metals, but that they understood the science of atoms and nuclei – for the ‘highward’ state of the white powder is only achieved through knowledge of the high-spin metallurgical experience. Only by understanding this part-physical and part-metaphysical science can one take a physical something and turn it into nothing by applying the principle of 0=(+1) + (-1). {The IO Torus, Logos and Harmonics are all associated}Interestingly, the high-spin powder of gold has a distinct effect upon the pineal gland {See entry on Thalami} and its increased melatonin production, while the equivalent powder of iridium has its similar effect on the serotonin production of the pituitary gland.

Although the current names of the platinum-group metals are relatively new to us, the metals themselves are far from new. Recent tests have shown that, by dry-matter weight, over 5 per cent of our brain tissue is composed of iridium and rhodium in the high-spin state. (28)

So, what precisely is the highward or high-spin state which converts these noble metals into an impalpable white powder? A normal atom has around it a screening potential – a positive screening produced by the nucleus. The majority of electrons going round the nucleus are within this screening potential, except for the very outer electrons. The nucleus goes to the highward or high-spin state when the positive screening potential expands to bring all of the electrons under the control of the nucleus. {Refer to Solid State chemistry and the work of Don Robins as it relates to ’scavengers’, microphages in the genetic structure also have an effect that may be similar. Can the meta-mind attune these electrons and bring their forward and reverse spins into conjunction?}

These electrons normally travel around the nucleus in pairs – a spin-forward electron and a spin-reverse electron. But when these come under the influence of a high-spin nucleus {Is this a conscious act?}, all the spin-forward electrons become correlated with the spin-reverse electrons. When perfectly correlated, the electrons turn to pure ‘white light’ and it is impossible for the individual atoms in the high-spin substance to link together.” (29)

Whether or not they can do these things today: they (Alchemists or Rosicrucians of the Great White Brotherhood of Master Craftsmen) certainly have done such things in the past. Did they learn the process from the remnants of a previous ‘modern’ human? That seems more likely to us than the alien explanation they want us to accept. Was there a program to keep these things super secret? There certainly should have been. In Morning of the Magicians Pauwels and Bergier tell about a meeting they had with Fulcanelli as well as a presentation he made to the Paris Academy of Sciences. One of these authors was a member of Heisenberg’s team of scientists working on splitting the atom and the other was the editor of ‘Earth’ magazine. Fulcanelli warned about the dangers of the atomic forces that science was about to unleash and he explained how the Cathedrals were constructed to include the knowledge they were seeking. I’ve read his book which purports to include the keys to this knowledge. It is extremely cryptic in nature but I think if one was to be able to create the green vitreole of the stained glass windows (no easy art, but available in other places) then it might be true.

If these things are the explanation for Sodom and Gomorrah, or the vitrified rocks then we have some real concerns to address about our leaders and their willingness to do one thing and say another. It is very unlikely that this knowledge has not been the object of secret agents and the desire of monarchs and others’ concerns for many millennia. We know Crowley, Hitler, and guys like Barrett (‘Secret Societies’) join the likes of Bacon and Dee in these quests. Truly power does corrupt and we know that when a few people have the power to do these kinds of things, it will eventually become a factor. The present situation seems to indicate that many people will have access to terrific uses of technology and we must not be as nave as the audience of Britannica was at the start of the 20th century when they wrote that torture was a thing of the past, as far as ‘civilized’ Europe was concerned.

Cyber Cheating – Is Your Spouse or Husband Cheating on You?

Filed under: University Of Relationships — admin @ 1:18 pm

Online dating has become increasingly more popular as people’s everyday lives are busy and they just don’t have the time or the social networks to meet people the old fashioned way…through friends and co-workers

Is Cyber Sex Adultery?

The anonymous nature of the internet provides a fertile playground for the lonely or the curious to discuss their secret fantasies with others of a like mind in safety. These encounters provide safety because the chance of a partner finding out about the interaction isn’t that high. By using a screen name, no one knows who you really are. You can lie about your physical appearance, age, race, gender or anything else you want to lie about.

Most internet affairs start in chat rooms where people can talk in real time by typing in text messages. Chat rooms are public forums where people an express opinions. Most allow members to have private conservations as well. Since a user can just disappear from the chat room forever, most people are willing to be much more open and honest about their thoughts, feelings and especially their sexual fantasies.

What starts off as an innocent conversation can escalate into an intensely emotional relationship that can be passionate and even physical by masturbating while interacting with the other individual. While most of these relationships only exist in cyber space, some do go offline and turn into real affairs.

Here are some shocking facts.

• One-third of divorce litigation is caused by online affairs.

• Only 46% of men believe that online affairs are adultery.

• Adult websites generate over $1 Billion a year in revenue.

• 8-10 percent of Internet users become hooked on cyber sex.

Self Help Magazine did an online survey about the subject. The survey results are mixed.

The consensus seems to be that if you are in a relationship and need cyber sex, there are already problems in your relationship. Most people seen to agree that cyber sex can be harmful to existing relationships if it is an activity that is hidden from a partner and lied about. But whether it is considered adultery seems to depend on the individual’s background and religious beliefs.

Here are some tips on how to tell if your partner is cheating on or offline. Beware if your partner is:

1. Works a lot of overtime – Enabling them to meet their lover after work.

2. Uses the Internet excessively especially if they are defensive about what they are doing – A way for women to meet men in chat rooms or dating sites.

3. Has a lot of unaccountable Hours – this is the time frame to conduct surveillance.

4. Hides the phone bill – The #1 way to find out who the lover is.

5. Says “It’s your imagination” – This is what is told to you when you’re too close to the truth.

6. Receives hang up phone calls – The paramour is calling your house to speak with your spouse.

7. No longer interested in sex – Saving their emotion for their lover.

8. No longer wearing a wedding ring – A sign telling everyone “I am single”.

9. Has new sexual techniques – What your spouse learned from their lover.

10. Says “I need my space” – When your spouse moves to the next stage.

Buy Dishwashers Online

Filed under: Online Shopping — admin @ 12:36 pm

If you should be browsing for the very best deal on Dishwashers, buying on the net can be a lovely method to save treasured time & currency. If you’re tired of trawling round high-street store after high street retail outlet surveying the market place for your families brand new dishwasher then why don’t you go on the internet and start searching.

You should constantly buy your new appliance from stores you really and truly trust, but when presented with a worrying number of strange stores online choosing can often be problematic. A outstanding method to stave off utilising undependable shops is to purchase with on-line stores who also possess a trustworthy high-street presence. You should of course be certain to look over the terms & conditions of all sites you are actually pondering obtaining from. Shopping around is always a good thing when looking for quality dishwashers on the internet.

Yet another additional approach to distinguish a trusted web shop When you are surveying the market for dishwashers is to be sure to find out whether the website possess a dispassionate and explanatory buyers handbook. Consulting a shoppers guide might also throw up a disturbing number of issues you might well not have ordinarily considered if you were merely buying independently. These may well include; power usage, additional features and dryer capacity amongst other things.

Be extremely wary of concealed charges – value added tax and delivery charges which are tacked on at the payment stage can commonly transmute that first super price you found for your dishwasher into something very unremarkable.

a large range of online options are faster than others – if the speed at which you obtain your dishwasher is really not a problem then this will probably really not bother you very much at all. Then again, if you would rather not be manually washing the pots and pans over Christmas then you will want to pick a retailer which makes available guaranteed delivery times.

Dishwashers can generally look the part when they are sat in a display room or on a web-site but end up disappointed when it reaches your families house. So be doubbly sure to check the returns policy of the web-site you are ordering from.

The Office Writer

Filed under: Great Publishing Tips — admin @ 6:30 am

So you’ve been hired as an assistant editor. That means you’ll be doing a lot of writing. Maybe you will be named editor of the company newsletter, but you are likely to be writing the newsletter. Or maybe you will be writing news releases, reports, speeches, or simply memoranda. Whatever the assignment, the main thing to remember is that you have to communicate.
To communicate most effectively, keep your writing simple, straightforward, and easy to understand. Never use two words where one will do. Use short sentences. Avoid dense text by using bulleted lists, brief paragraphs, and subheadings.
Give the readers your full attention; always put yourself in their place and keep your writing conversational. Read it aloud — or at least mouth the words — to verify that it is conversational. If your readers can simply go with the flow, they are most likely to catch your meaning and remain interested.
Remember, writing should never get in the way of communication.
The Heading
The title should be interesting and informative. It should let your readers know what you are writing about — and why that is important to them.
In some cases, the title is merely part of the heading. A memorandum, for example, will usually have a heading that is standard for the company or organization. It will include this information:
To: (the recipients)
From: (the official or department)
Subject: (the title)
Date: (the date of issue)
In other cases — for example, articles in the company newsletter — the title will be a headline, choice words drawn from the opening paragraph and fitting into a snug space on the printed page.
If the document is part of a series, the heading will indicate that. For example: The Primary Concern, Fifth in a Series; or Insight No. 7: The Primary Concern.
Subheadings
If an article is lengthy — that is, a full page or multiple pages — use subheads to break it into readable segments. Unless the content dictates otherwise, there should be no more than two subheads on an 8 ” x 11″ page of double-spaced copy. Usually, a subhead will consist of few words and won’t take a full line; it should grab the reader’s attention and reveal something about the subsequent material.
The Paragraph
A paragraph should consist of a few sentences related to the same subject matter. In general, a paragraph should contain between 150 and 200 words. If it must be longer, look for ways to break it up. For example, if it contains a series — James collected Rolling Stones CDs, DVDs, and concert posters — change it to a bulleted list. James collected Rolling Stones:
*CDs
*DVDs
*Concert posters
Doing so adds “air” to the page, diminishing the density of the type. It makes the page an easier, quicker read.
Style note: There is disagreement about the proper punctuation for this bulleted list. A particular style is not sacrosanct, however. The important thing is to adopt a style and use it consistently.
The Sentence
The sentence is the basic building block of every written product, whether it is a memo; a book review; a press release; a news article; or a feature story. So it is in constructing the individual sentence that the writer establishes an article’s readability and interest level. Here are some guidelines for ensuring it will score high on those scales:
*The sentence should be concise.
*It should be simple and straightforward.
*It should flow conversationally.
*The reader should be pulled by the flow.
There are two essential elements in a sentence: the subject (a noun or pronoun) and the predicate (a verb, one word or several words that tell what action the subject is taking or has taken). Most sentences also contain articles (a, an, the) and modifiers (adjectives, adverbs).
An adjective modifies a noun; it is a word or phrase that names or describes an attribute of the noun. For example: the blue room, the tall woman, the balding man, the once and future king. An adverb, on the other hand, modifies a verb. It is a word or phrase that expresses time, place, cause, manner, or degree. For example, he read slowly, she spoke articulately. Adverbs may also modify adjectives, other adverbs, or adverbial phrases.
Frequently, a sentence will include a prepositional phrase. A preposition is a brief word (of, for, by, at, to, under, over) that introduces a phrase modifying a noun, verb, or clause. Every prepositional phrase has its own object. For example, to the movies, under the bridge, after a few minutes, across the lake.
Note: “Concise” is not a synonym for “brief.” A long article may consist of concise writing. The test is whether every word is necessary. Check each word in a sentence; does it clarify or add meaning, or is it superfluous? If all superfluous words are eliminated, the writing is concise.
Brevity, of course, is desirable, too. If the writing is concise, the article is likely to be as brief as the subject matter allows.
Punctuation
*The period (.) marks the end of a sentence; it also separates elements of an Internet site name [the "dot" in "dot com"].
*The comma (,) separates items in a series; divides a compound sentence; sets off interjected material; with a small conjunction (but, for, and), connects two independent clauses; sets off introductory phrases; sets off the name of the larger geographical entity when citing city, state, or province, nation; separates discrete adjectives (“short, stocky fellow”).
*The colon ( : ) follows a phrase that introduces a list; follows an independent clause that introduces an explanation; follows the salutation in a business letter; separates an independent clause from a quotation it introduces; in a script, separates the speaker’s name from his/her speech. Note: If the clause following a colon is a complete sentence, it should begin with a capital letter.
*The semicolon (;) separates two complete thoughts; separates items in a series if one or more of them contain a comma;
*Quotation marks (” “) begin and end quoted material; enclose titles of lesser works, such as chapters and episodes (for titles of books, television programs, and films, use italics); serve as a symbol for inches.
*Quotation marks (”) begin and end quoted material within quoted material; serve as a symbol for feet.
*Question mark (?) at the end of a direct question.
*Parentheses ( ) begin and end interjected material, as well as references and other information that is related to but not suitable for the main text.
*Brackets [ ] set off parenthetical material that occurs within parentheses.
Capitalization
In headlines: Choose an “up” or “down” style and stick with it. The “up” style: Capitalize all the words in the headline except articles and prepositions that are no longer than four letters. The “down” style: Capitalize only the first word of the headline and any proper nouns that appear in it.
In the text: Here, too, you should choose an “up” or “down” style. The “down” style: Capitalize only the first word of every sentence, plus proper nouns. The “up” style: Capitalize Federal, State, Department, and so on.
Your choice of “up” or “down” style will also apply to any subheadings.
Whether you choose “up” or “down,” you should always capitalize the pronoun “I” and relatives’ titles when used with the proper name (for example, “Uncle Dan,” but “my uncle”). Capitalize Mother or Father when addressing the parent directly, but not when referring to him or her (“my mother,” “my father”).
TYPES OF PRODUCTS
The News Article
A news article’s first sentence — the “lead” — is its most important element. The lead must contain as many of the key ingredients — who, what, where, when, why, and how — as possible. These facts inform the reader of the main thrust of the news and provide a context for understanding what follows.
Subsequent paragraphs provide further information. They appear in order of descending importance for a very practical reason: If there is not space enough for the entire article, it may be cut from the bottom without destroying its essence. This factor distinguishes the news article from the feature story and the editorial.
The Press Release
A press release is a news article with spin, company propaganda. It reports the news about a new product or business development in a positive manner. There is not likely to be a downside included.
Of course, that describes a proactive press release; a reactive one might very well include negative information — if the company perceives that it needs to acknowledge certain facts in order to salvage its public image.
The Opinion Piece or Editorial
Writing an editorial or an opinion piece is similar to writing an essay, although less formal in structure and style. In all three, the author asserts a point of view and supports it with logical discourse or facts.
The piece may define, describe, or explain a concept or a proposal; evaluate and/or compare ideas, systems, processes, or activities; make and defend a choice among options.Opinion pieces should always be labeled as such.
The Feature Story
A feature article may take various forms — a human interest story, a celebrity interview, an in-depth explanation of a current issue or development, a profile of a local leader, the saga of a successful business. The list could go on and on. Feature articles are characteristically longer than most news stories.
All features attempt to interest the reader in something unusual. For instance, an article might examine the role of women in Arab societies, the new elements in the revised SAT, or the Internet business that is being outsourced to India. Perhaps a local man has been selected to appear on Jeopardy! There is really no limit to the possibilities.
For a company publication, more likely topics might be staff reorganization, United Fund drive progress, product development, and an officer profile. And the CEO will probably want you to ghost-write a column bearing his/her byline.
The Newsletter
As the editor of a newsletter, you will have a number of key decisions to make at the outset.
*What size will it be? Most newsletters are 17″ x 11″ folded to 8 ” x 11.”
*How many pages? Four or any multiple of four.
*Binding? If more than four pages, saddle-stitch binding.
*Self-mailer? Leave space for recipient name/address, return address, and mailing indicia.
*Number of columns per page?
*How often will it be published?
Matters of Style
*Typeface for text and headlines? Type sizes?
*What font and size will the subheads be?
*Should type be flush left and ragged right or fully justified? (Justified type is flush left and right. Ragged right lines end with the last full word that fits.)
*What size will the masthead be? Where will it be placed?
*Will articles jump from one page to another or be printed in a continuum?
*Will you use artwork or photos? Cut lines or captions?
*Where will you place the staff box?
*Will you list all of the contents — or selected items — in an article or box on the front page?
Matters of Content
*Chances are the topics to be covered were spelled out initially, either by your boss or by the organization’s leaders, or perhaps they were dictated by the organization’s purpose/function.
*Don’t work in a vacuum. Appoint a committee of people representing different parts of the company/organization; meet with them in a planning session for each issue.
*It’s a good idea to have a mix of news items and feature articles, plus brief notices in boxes that break up the page. Variety makes a newsletter lively and keeps the reader interested.
Article Review
Establish procedures for review of your articles by staff members prior to publication.
After type is set, arrange for another staff member to proofread, backing you up.
About Layout
Whether you are doing desktop publishing or sending camera-ready copy to a printer with an offset press, you will have to lay out your pages. To do so, you should create a template with the number of columns of the width you have chosen and feed your headlines, articles, and artwork into the template. You will be able to set type in multiple column widths to enhance the visual appeal of your newsletter.
Artwork
You will probably want to use the CEO’s picture with his/her column, and you may also use mug shots of employees who are mentioned in other articles. Original artwork adds sophistication to your newsletter, and if you can afford to hire an artist, you will probably want to follow this course. It will be up to you (and your boss) whether to use a mix of photos and original art or use original art exclusively.
Speech Writing
If you’re assigned to write a speech for the CEO, insist on interviewing her or him about the purpose, the content, and the desired outcome. Listen carefully to the CEO’s speech patterns. Short or long sentences? Serious or light demeanor? Articulate or not? Terse or long-winded?
Discuss whether to open with a joke or get right down to business, how to structure the material, how much time the speech should take. The more successful this interview, the better the speech.

Missed Calls – A new wave of mobile phone scams

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 7:38 am

Millions of mobile phone users are being subjected to a new wave of money making scams currently being carried out by a number of rouge agents set on taking advantage on the curiosity of the individuals they target.

The “Missed Call” scam is very basic and extremely effective, dependant on no more than a return call from those mobile phone users trusting enough to believe that someone is trying to contact them for genuine reasons.

So how does it work? – A computer is set up to pick numbers from a list and calls them automatically. After one ring the computer hangs up and the targeted handset indicates that a call has been missed. At this point completion of the scam relies on the owner of the mobile phone returning the call shown as missed on his/her handset.

Curiosity is the key factor on which the success of this scam has been based, and the scammers know that a large percentage of phone users will almost always return a missed call simply to find out the origin and purpose of it.

On returning the call, the owner of the targeted mobile phone is redirected to a premium rate telephone service and increasingly without his/her knowledge. The scammers then take this opportunity and ensure that the maximum amount of money is made from the call by entering into a lengthy conversation, generally relating to some bogus prize or competition.

Often, it is not until the monthly statement arrives that the targeted individual realises that his/her phone has been subjected to a “Missed Call” scam and charged excessive rates for the privilege.

At present there appears to be no immediate action which those exposed to this scam can take to ensure that others do not suffer the same fate.

The best way to prevent this scam is to apply caution, and only return missed calls to those numbers you recognise. And remember, if someone is genuinely trying to get hold of you, they’ll call again.

More details on the numbers you need to watch out for and where you might get help if this scam happens to you are available on:

Cisco CCNA Certification Exam Tutorial: Configuring Dialer Profiles

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 7:52 pm

The most common method of configuring ISDN is with dialer maps, but dial information can also be configured on a logical interface. To pass the CCNA exam, you must know how to configure and troubleshoot both dialer maps and dialer profiles.

Dialer Profiles allow different dialing information to be configured onto logical interfaces. The logical interfaces may have different dialing destinations, different remote router names, etc., but they’ll be using the same physical interface.

Dialer strings are used on dialer profiles. Note that each logical interface has a different IP address, a different remote router to dial, and a different dialer string, but they will be using the same physical interface to dial out. The commands dialer pool and dialer pool-member are used to link the logical and physical interfaces. The number following each command must match for the logical interface to correctly bind to the physical interface.

R1(config)#interface dialer0

R1(config-if)#ip address 172.16.1.1 255.255.255.0

R1(config-if)#encapsulation ppp

<. The encapsulation type is placed on both the logical and physical interfaces. >

R1(config-if)#dialer remote-name Remote0

R1(config-if)#dialer pool 1

< places logical interface into dialer pool >

R1(config-if)#dialer string 5551212

< number dialed to contact router Remote0 >

R1(config-if)#dialer-group 1

When configuring dialer profiles, the encapsulation type should be placed on both the physical BRI interface and the logical dialer interfaces. The SPIDs are configured on the physical interface as well.

Configuring dialer profiles can be a little tricky at first, and the best way to master this skill is to get real hands-on practice in your own CCNA / CCNP home lab or a rack rental service. Either way, hands-on is the best practice. Best of luck in your CCNA studies!

All for One, One for All: Fireants

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 11:39 pm

If I weren’t bit by a fireant the other day, I would never have thought of writing about ants. Despite the cortisone cream, fireant bites itch, burn, and take quite a few days to heal.

In primitive human societies, ant bites were considered as having healing powers; therefore, ant bites were used in initiation ceremonies as a test of endurance. That must mean, I am initiated to something without my consent and not for the first time either.

Taking their viewpoint into account, I really don’t blame the ants much. To them, we must seem so careless and so much bigger than Gulliver’s giants. They must suffer multiple casualties everyday, even if our clumsy feet commit their murders unwittingly. When we step on an ant, the crushed ant emits an alarm pheromone in high concentration. That sends other ants nearby into war frenzy and causes them attack anything and everything around the nest.

This waste of ant-life is increased thousands-fold under Florida’s sudden showers that flood their commune and by the pest-control man who pays a visit once a month causing ant-martyrs because of the extermination industry. I watched that Terminex guy at his work, fighting a biological warfare at its best. Wherever he found an ant hill, he put in some granules and watered it. This much stress would make any species go crazy and strike back with vengeance.

To top their aggravation, fireants’ forefathers play a role in their behavioral genes. It is believed that ants have evolved from the wasps and they must have kept the aggressive behavior of wasps somewhere in their DNA structure because their bite hurts and gets swollen just like a wasp’s bite. Worse yet, some ant species, called killer ants, have a tendency to attack much larger animals during their foraging or in defending their nests.

The ant colony works as one unit. In that unit are many ants that act, according to their individual function, for the whole colony to make the ant life practical and effective. Even if there is separateness among the ants, their existence is one complete element. An ant colony does not consist of tiny whole things linked together as in human societies; each ant is a part of the whole without being separate. The ants’ oneness is in harmony with the forces of nature.

Imagine being without legs or arms and needing total care from the others in your youth. Well, that’s an ant’s life for you. Ants do not develop their legs until fully grown; they depend completely on the nurse-ants. When the baby ants develop, they get six legs with prominent elbows, or should we say knees, and off to work they go. The worker ants spent their internship of few days in caring for the queen and the young. After that, they graduate to harder and harder tasks, from digging and nest work to foraging food and defending the nest.

Most of these worker ants are females. Maybe the ant colonies, too, depend on women’s volatile and high-strung view of things. Yet, there’s a place for males in the commune also. The males act as drones and work with the queen to pad up the population. That must mean the females are the fallen soldiers who go out to face the world daily and possibly perish in the path of duty.

The queen–in the beginning of a colony–has quite a few jobs, but as the colony enlarges, her duties are delegated to others, and she becomes the mother of the commune who just lays eggs. Motherhood must have a very respectful and an almost divine throne, since ants appoint body guards to the queen and the body guards form a ring around her. That ring moves with her and expands or contracts according to the situation.

The eggs, or the ant-children, do not belong to the queen, but are the communal possession. As soon as the eggs are laid, they are carried to a separate room to be cared by attendants or nurses. These ants, though not a separate caste–being vigorous and efficient–are at the prime of their lives, and their care of the young, as witnessed by observers, is meticulously and very lovingly administered.

As soon as each young ant is out of the nursery, it gains responsibility and the spirit of the commune directs her to a chosen occupation. The young ant’s role in life is not haphazard and directionless like the young of the human.

If we pause and think, we may understand that, from many angles, there is enlightenment to be gained from the ant colonies, but the most important point is, all ants of the colony act as one whole, making separateness an alien concept. Separateness causes discord in the harmony of life, allowing the ego to abhor or look down upon others.
