From Yesterday to Today

Graduation announcements that were popular in the beginning of the twentieth century were a far cry from the graduation announcements that we use today. Although the graduation commencement of the early part of the last century was even more formal that those today, the graduation announcements were reserved for those with money to spend for stationery.

Because of new computer technology that continues to improve with each passing day, there is a vast array of graduation announcements available for graduates today. Graduation announcements are used to let everyone know that you have graduated from high school, college or a postgraduate course.

Years ago, when someone graduated from high school or college, graduation announcements were sent to friends and relatives letting them know about this feat. At the early part of the last century, graduating from high school is similar to graduating from college today. Many young people did not attend high school and only received a formal education to the eighth grade.
